Pablo Domínguez
Pablo Domínguez Díaz, painter. He was born on June 16, 1962 in Santiago, Chile. He passed away in the same city on November 25, 2008.
He studied Plastic Arts at the University of Chile, where he remained for a year as a free student of Luis Lobo Parga. He was a student of Carlos Maturana, Bororo. He also took painting classes at Workshops 619 and was part of the "La Brocha" Workshop. His career was linked to those of José Ignacio León, Matías Pinto and Samy Benmayor.
A scholarship to study in the United States allowed him to work in his own workshop at George Mason University in Virginia.
His early death from fulminant cancer, less than two years from one of his most important exhibitions at the National Museum of Fine Arts, hit the Chilean cultural scene hard.
