Edwin Rojas
"His pictorial works show a marked neo-figurativism, where the human being is always present in dreamlike compositions clearly inspired by the mythology and life of the port of Valparaíso."
Edwin Rojas was born in Valparaíso, Chile, in 1957. His work is compared to the magical literary realism of García Márquez or Vargas Llosa, since he feels great affinity with those imaginary worlds full of recurring symbolic elements where an airplane represents the journey and the transfer of borders and a table, the meeting and human coexistence.
