He was born in San Bernardo, Chile, in 1956. He studied a Bachelor of Art, with a minor in Painting, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile. Recognized as an emblematic artist in his country, he has dedicated his life to the profession of painting and drawing, participating actively in individual and group exhibitions within Chile and abroad.

He belongs to the so-called Promotion of the Eighties, an artistic movement that effectively revalues the practice of painting.

Irreverent in drawing and strongly expressive in matter, this artist's work blends neo-expressionism with abstraction, manifesting itself with intense color and restricted color range, where through intense gesture, the expression of line and the condensation of the stain , seeks to develop themes related to human situations, daily life and the fundamental meaning of existence. His paintings are mainly nourished by personal experiences, of the citizen displacement in the city and currently, of his constant observation of the light and atmospheric movements in nature.

Since 2002 he has been a professor in the pictorial projects workshop at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Finis Terrae University
