Renzo Pecchenino, Lukas

His real name was Renzo Antonio Giovanni Pecchenino Raggi and he was born on May 29, 1934, in the town of Ottone, near Genoa, Italy. At just over a year old, he came to Chile with his parents to settle in Valparaíso.
In 1958, under the pseudonym Lukas, his first cartoons appeared on the editorial page of the newspaper La Unión de Valparaíso.
His fine humor and skillful brush earned him early public recognition and his collaboration began to be required by numerous written media such as La Estrella and El Mercurio de Valparaíso, in addition to La Segunda and El Mercurio de Santiago, a newspaper in which he participated active around the 1970s.
